Job Description:

Guidepoint is seeking an experienced Senior AI Engineer to join their Toronto-based Data/AI team. This team is responsible for building a modern data infrastructure for advanced analytics and the development of responsible AI. As a Senior AI Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing cutting-edge Generative AI and analytical capabilities to support Guidepoint's research enablement platform and data products.

You will work alongside a team of interdisciplinary specialists and contribute to the development of AI/ML capabilities using Databricks across all of Guidepoint's products. This role requires strong leadership skills and technical expertise to drive the development of next-generation research enablement platforms and advanced data products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop LLM-powered solutions and architectures on proprietary knowledge repositories.
• Query unstructured data using natural language and generate content.
• Integrate and scale LLM-based applications into business workflows across various domains.
• Collaborate with data engineering and ML teams to innovate and establish best practices for MDLC (Machine Learning Development Cycle) and LLM evaluation frameworks.
• Collaborate with product and client services teams to define priorities and influence the product roadmap.
• Mentor junior AI/ML engineers in building a modern AI infrastructure and developing responsible AI solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of related experience, or Master's degree with 2+ years of related experience.
• Experience with natural language processing techniques, including vector databases, fine-tuning LLMs, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), and deploying LLMs with tools such as HuggingFace, Langchain, and OpenAI.
• Strong software engineering skills for building enterprise platforms and handling large datasets.
• Highly proficient in Python, Javascript, and other programming languages.
• Familiarity with Databricks is a plus.
• Proven leadership skills, strategic mindset, and a passion for driving innovation in AI.
• Experience or knowledge of working in a compliance-based environment, including building and deploying compliant software solutions throughout the software lifecycle.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills to effectively collaborate across global teams.
